Holroyd B. Curts (1917–2001) was a United States Army officer and Camp Ritchie trainee who rose to major and received the Purple Heart after being wounded in 1944.

Biography

In 1940, Holroyd graduated Wesleyan U. In 1941, Curts graduated Yale University (German). Curts was a United States Army officer and Camp Ritchie trainee. He began Class 4, later received a commission as a second lieutenant (ASN 01100066), and advanced through first lieutenant and captain to major. During the war he served as officer in charge of IPW Team 16, attached to the 4th Cavalry Group and 1st Infantry Division. He was wounded on 7 August 1944; the timeline records receipt of the Purple Heart.
