Albert P. Pask (28 February 1923 – 15 February 2002) was a Chicago-area Ritchie Boy who served in military intelligence in Bern, Switzerland, and later worked in accounting, teaching, and horticulture.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Albert P. Pask was born on 28 February 1923. He attended Mt. Greenwood Elementary School and Jones Commercial High School in Chicago and studied at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Pask entered the Army in April 1943 and trained at Camp Ritchie. He was assigned to the European theater for military intelligence duty in Bern, Switzerland, and was honorably discharged in August 1947 as a master sergeant.
He completed an accounting major and M.B.A. at the University of Chicago in 1949, worked for Campbell Soup Company and Arthur Andersen & Co., and later served as an instructor and dean of faculty at Fenger and Bogan High Schools. Around 1960 he turned to landscaping and plant maintenance, studied at the University of Illinois, and earned the title of Master Gardener. He died on 15 February 2002 at age 78.
