Ernest Torrez (30 September 1923 – 27 August 1994) was a New Mexico–born Ritchie Boy who served stateside and was separated for medical disability at Camp Ritchie in August 1945.
Biography edit
Ernest Torrez was born on 30 September 1923 in Raton, New Mexico. He entered the Army at Santa Fe on 9 December 1942 and trained as a medical enlisted surgical technician in 1943.
Torrez served more than two years stateside with the Medical Department. He was separated from the Army at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, on 23 August 1945 with a certificate of disability for discharge, holding the grade of private first class. He died on 27 August 1994.
