George R. Field (1919–2007) was a Ritchie Boy (born Feldmann; from Austria; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 10.

Biography

On 9 January 1944, Field returned to Camp Ritchie. George worked as machinist helper (variety of machines). Among the attendees were Michael R. Landauer (below left), the son of Ritchie Boy Henry Landauer; Ambassador Richard Schifter (below center), one of the original Ritchie Boys; and Bernie Lubran (below right), the main speaker whose father, Walter Lubran, was a Ritchie Boy. Field, also attended the program. On 20 July 1943, he was naturalized as a United States citizen in District Court in Washington, D.C., in a ceremony for Camp Ritchie soldiers reported the next day in The Washington Post.
