Stephen F. Wisniewski (1916–1957) was a United States Army officer who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 6 in military censorship.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Stephen F. Wisniewski was born in 1916. A lieutenant with Regimental Headquarters Company, 253rd Infantry, he attended a military-censorship course at Camp Ritchie (Class 6).
While traveling from Camp Ritchie via New York to visit a brother in Jersey City, New Jersey, whom he had not seen in fourteen years, Wisniewski unknowingly shared a train, bus, and cab with a young woman who proved to be his niece—an episode recounted in the 63rd Infantry Division newspaper Blood and Fire (16 July 1943). He died in 1957.
