Classes 1–31[edit | edit source]

The core Ritchie Boy path was the eight-week Military Intelligence Training Center course. Class 1 graduated 32 soldiers; later classes grew into the hundreds. Class 18 graduated the most (622); Class 25 had the largest enrollment (779).

Curriculum and specialties[edit | edit source]

Each eight-week class spent about five weeks on general instruction (272 hours: terrain, signals, staff duties, enemy armies, photo interpretation, and related subjects) and three weeks on specialized tracks (82 hours), then a multi-day terrain exercise.

Specialty columns in Appendix 6 include IPW (German, Italian, and other), photo interpretation, counterintelligence, terrain and signal intelligence, and language tracks.

Awards[edit | edit source]

The awards sheet lists Ritchie Boys recorded with the Medal of Honor (1), Distinguished Service Cross (1), and Silver Star (57). Names link to soldier profiles when a clear roster match exists; ribbon displays on matched profiles come from the same source work.
