Peter R. Frank (1923–2003) was a United States Army soldier who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 6, and is also associated with IPW Team 1 (101st Airborne Division / VIII Corps).
Biography
On 13 October 1942, he attended enlisted at Fort Devens, MA as Pvt (ASN 32712444). In October 1944 he served as only German-speaking member of “The Incredible Patrol”. Worked as clerk-typist for various publications. On 16 December 1944, As 2nd Lt, served as second in command to Capt. He served as interpreter for General Maxwell D. Research notes also associate Frank with IPW Team 1 alongside Joseph C. Pangerl Jr., Alphonse Francis Gion, Hermann Coquelin, Emil H. Koslan, Frederick C. Patheiger, and George Goldberg. On 11 February 1944, IPW Team 1 was attached to the 101st Airborne Division (VIII Corps).
