Frederick W. Perutz (1919–2022) was a Ritchie Boy (from Austria; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 8.
Biography
On 7 December 1943, Travel duty recruiting at ASTP college campuses seeking candidates. Studied photography at New York Photo Institute. Worked as clerk examining and securing (foreign) shipping documents. Many called him Fred or Fritz, but Max called him Opa. His grandfather was 1 in a billion. 103 1/2 years old and enjoyed every second of it. May his memory be for a blessing.
