Joseph C. Pangerl Jr. (1922–2013) was a Ritchie Boy who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland in Class 8 and served with IPW Team 1, attached to the 101st Airborne Division (VIII Corps) on 11 February 1944.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Joseph was an Austrian-born Catholic Ritchie Boy who trained at Camp Ritchie in Class 8. He served on IPW Team 1. On 11 February 1944, IPW Team 1 was attached to the 101st Airborne Division (VIII Corps). Teammates included Alphonse Francis Gion, Hermann Coquelin, Emil H. Koslan, Frederick C. Patheiger, and George Goldberg.
