• Joined OSS after reaching Ireland. Originally intended for agent work in France in civilian clothes. Trained by OSS and commissioned in 1944 as 1st Lt. (ASN: 0887914). Took parachute training while in England, making nine descents. Due to liberation of France, no assignment was available when training was finished.”.
