Robert worked as News Photographer. He attended See: “The Men on the Ground: the OSS in Vietnam, 1944-1945” PhD Thesis by Dixee R. He electrical-Technical Institute in France (2 yrs).

- Joined OSS after reaching Ireland. Originally intended for agent work in France in civilian clothes. Trained by OSS and commissioned in 1944 as 1st Lt. (ASN: 0887914). Took parachute training while in England, making nine descents. Due to liberation of France, no assignment was available when training was finished.”.
