Frank M. Brandstetter (1912–2011) was a United States Army Second Lieutenant who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 6.

Biography

From 1930 to 1941, Frank worked in hotels, including as hotel manager. He worked as a army volunteer, his command of multiple languages made him perfect for an intelligence career. He on 17 April 1945 Captain Brandstetter again entered the enemy lines as a member of a raiding party. He served as General Matthew B. He army Reservist feeding intelligence information to his “big brothers” in the Office of the Army Chief of Staff for Intelligence (ACSI) in the Pentagon, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the FBI, and the CIA. He their mutual trust and friendship would lead to another escape years later when Philippe defected from his job as a spy with the French SDECE because the KGB had infiltrated the de Gaulle government.

• Captain Frank Brandstetter, ASN 01822527, CAV, HQ XVIII Corps (Airborne), United States Army, for gallantry in action against an armed enemy of the United States on 16-17 April 1945. As commander of a small detachment Captain Brandstetter entered the enemy lines on 16 April 1945. During the succeeding twelve hours, Captain Brandstetter was under constant.
• Awarded Silver Star Medal for arranging surrender of German General Walter Model. (or for carrying out raid in enemy lines ?).
• Citation for the Silver Star Medal.
