Bernhard G. Edgarr (1921–1992) was a United States Army Private who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 4. Bernhard enlisted at Ft Jay Governors Island, New York.
Biography[edit | edit source]
From 1932 to 1936 he was a member of the Hitler Jugend. On 20 April 1943 he returned to Camp Ritchie. He attended Arrived in New York and studied at Dale Carnegie Institute for 1/2 year (night school). He 6/ /1943 Naturalized at Frederick, MD.

- 13 March 1943 — Additional training at Camp Hale, CO with the 99th Infantry Battalion (Sep) and the 10th Mountain Division.
- 20 April 1943 — Returned to Camp Ritchie.
- 6 June 1944 — Landed on Omaha Beach (?) as a member of IPW Ge Team 16 attached to the 4th Infantry Division.
- 6/ /1943 Naturalized at Frederick, MD.
- Citation: M/Sgt Bernhard G. F. Edgar(r), (ASN: 32345686), MIS, attached to HQ, 4th Infantry Division, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States in Normandy, France, on 14 June 1944.
