Eugene J. Kirsners (1915–1989) was a Ritchie Boy (from Russia) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 16 and served with IPW Team 82; 41.
Biography edit
Ritchie Boy Kirsners was born in Russia in 1915. On 25 January 1944, Kirsners became a naturalized citizen at Alexandria, LA. He worked as tool designer. He served as Rifleman in Latvian Army (Pvt). He went to school in Latvia and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Latvia. After serving in the Latvian Army, he emigrated to the United States. He enlisted in the US Army in 1943 and did his basic training at Camp Claiborne, LA. He trained in the 16th Class (the same as my Father) and graduated as a German Interrogator. In May 1944 he was released from Camp Ritchie with the rank of Master Sergeant and as a member of IPW Team 82 attached to the Third Army. Other Members of IPW Team 82 were: Lt.
