Eugene Paul Schrenzel (1921–2010) was a Ritchie Boy (from Germany; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 14.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Schrenzel served in General Patton's Third Army, Fourth Armored Division. Schrenzel served with the Counter Intelligence Corps and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, Battle of Metz, and the Battle of Anzio. Schrenzel participated in the liberation of a Concentration Camp and was behind enemy lines for much of the. He enlisted on Dec. 21, 1942 and his release date was Nov. He received a Silver Star and a Bronze Star for bravery and 2 Purple Hearts.
